Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training
The Launch Groups ‘Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training’ qualification is a nationally-accredited qualification for those who already involved in teaching. Formally known as CTTLS, it helps learners to evaluate, hone and improve upon your existing skills towards becoming an expert in your own area of specialism.
The course enables learners to reflect on their current teaching practice and compile evidence to demonstrate their competence within their teaching role. Furthermore, learners receive regular scrutiny and constructive feedback for both written assignments and lesson observations from The Launch Group’s very own team of experienced tutors and quality assurance managers.
As learners study towards the qualification, they’re also provided with essential, free resources they can regularly use and adapt in their actual teaching role.
For any individuals delivering government-funded education and training in the UK, the Level 4 Certificate is now a mandatory qualification to hold.
Unlike other providers, there are no additional costs and the cost advertised covers all resources, tutor support and certification of the qualification.
Learning Objectives
On completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Be able to use inclusive teaching and learning approaches in accordance with internal and external requirements
- Be able to communicate with learners and other learning professionals to promote learning and progression
- Be able to use technologies in delivering inclusive teaching and learning
- Be able to implement the minimum core when delivering inclusive teaching and learning
- Be able to implement the minimum core when assessing learners
- Be able to competently evaluate own practice in delivering inclusive teaching and learning
- Be able to evaluate own use of resources in the delivery of inclusive teaching and learning
- Be able to carry out assessments in accordance with internal and external requirements
- Learners must be aged 19+.
- Must hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formally known as PTTLS), or higher.
- Be working in a role in which they can log at least 30 hours of current teaching practice, including 3 hours of observations.
To show sufficient understanding of all learning objectives, learners must:
- Complete a series of written theory-based assignments.
- Deliver education and training as part of 3 scheduled OTLAs (observation of teaching learning and assessment).
Upon completion of their qualification, learners receive both digital and hard copies of their nationally-accredited qualification, at no additional cost.
