The Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance is a nationally recognised qualification designed for experienced practitioners who want to monitor and improve the quality of assessment within their organisation.
This qualification prepares learners to carry out the role of an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), overseeing assessment practice and ensuring that assessment decisions are consistent, fair and meet required standards.
Throughout the course, learners will develop an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance. They will learn how to monitor the quality of assessment, support assessors within their organisation and ensure that assessment processes meet both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Learners will complete a series of assignments and practical tasks designed to demonstrate their understanding of internal quality assurance processes. These activities may include monitoring assessors, providing constructive feedback, supporting standardisation activities and contributing to the improvement of assessment practices.

Entry Requirements
To enrol on this course, learners must:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Ideally, hold an assessor qualification, such as the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
- Have access to assessors and assessment activities within a workplace or training environment so that they can carry out practical internal quality assurance activities.
